Postdoctoral Researcher, Corporate Environmental Management, for a fixed period of 1.8.2018 - 31.7.2022
The mission of the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics (JSBE) is to conduct high-level research by national and international standards, and to offer quality degree education and executive education in business and economics. We contribute to the societal impact of the University of Jyväskylä by promoting university-based entrepreneurship and innovation activities.
Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics is an active, internationally-minded and cooperative faculty in the dynamic and international University of Jyväskylä. There are 18 professorships at the JSBE, and the number of other staff is around 100. Over a thousand students study at JSBE. Each year, around 150 students graduate as Masters of Science (econ), and 13 -15 doctoral dissertations are publicly defended at JSBE.
Postdoctoral Researcher participates in the work of the research group in Corporate Environmental Management. Her/his duties focus in scientific research (including planning research projects and applying for research funding). Also teaching, supervisory, as well as administrative tasks in the international Master's Programme in Corporate Environmental Management are included in the work of the Postdoctoral Researcher.
The duties and qualification requirements and language skills for the position of the Postdoctoral Researcher are stipulated by the University of Jyväskylä Regulations and language skills guidelines. According to Finnish law, a non-native university teaching and research staff member can be granted an exemption from the requirement of Finnish language proficiency. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to have good skills in English language.
Applicants are required to have PhD in Corporate Environmental Management as well as experience in research and teaching in Corporate Environmental Management. Evidence on participation in research projects, research funding, and thesis supervision will be considered as an advantage for the applicant.
The job-specific salary component of a postdoctoral reseacher is based on the job demands level 5-6 (EUR 2893,95 - 3374,18/month) according to the salary system concerning teaching and research staff at universities. In addition, a personal performance-based salary component amounting to the maximum of 46.3% of the job-specific salary component is also paid.
A trial period of six months will be used when the position is first filled.
